A Christian’s ethical inconsistency…

Logically, a Christian’s ethical inconsistency (while never to be condoned and understandably disconcerting) has little or no bearing on the objective truth-claims of Christianity. To put it more directly—the negative, sinful, or evil actions of individual Christians (real or so-called) do not falsify the historic claims about Christ—his perfect life, sacrificial death, and bodily resurrection. Because some Christians act in a hypocritical manner, it does not follow that Jesus ceases to be the Son of God and the Savior of the world.
